The role
You will design AI-backed solutions that can survive contact with a real product: data paths, model or API choices, human review, security, cost, and the software around the model. You will not be hired to produce decks that never reach production.
You will work with Suraket’s CTO and delivery leads, and you will speak with clients in clear English about what is feasible in a first release.
What you will do
Turn a business problem into an AI-backed architecture that a team can build.
Decide when a model, retrieval, rules, or a plain software workflow is the honest solution.
Define evaluation, fallbacks, logging, and human-in-the-loop where it matters.
Write just enough architecture for engineers to implement without folklore.
Join selected client conversations and protect scope from magical thinking.
Contribute to Practice Studio so new patterns are tried before they are sold.
What you bring
Proven work designing or shipping systems that use machine learning or modern AI APIs in a product, not only in a notebook.
Strong software architecture judgment: APIs, data, security, observability, cost.
Comfortable communicating with non-specialists.
Based in Islamabad, or able to work from Islamabad with the studio.
Portfolio or case write-up of at least one system you can discuss in depth.
Nice to have
Experience with retrieval, document intake, or operations/telecom workflows.
Hands-on engineering enough to respect implementation cost.
Prior work with US or Gulf product teams.
